Piece of My Heart by Mary Higgins Clark: The novel is the serious attempt of the author with full of suspense and thrill. Here in this novel, the writers present the love story in the form of suspense where the two lovers are lost during their visit to the beach. The search parties are set to bring them in case they are alive. Their search brings them face to face with the different incidents that are full of horror and mysterious incidents. Laurie and her fiancée Alex Buckley are to get married but before they turn this fantasy into reality, things suddenly take a horrible turn. They set off for the beach but never return. A search party witnesses and begins to remember Johnny playing at the water and collecting shells on the other side of the shore shack, but nobody recalls visiting him following the afternoon. Since the sun sets, Johnny’s skim plank warms around the coast, and everybody realizes he could be everywhere, even underwater.
Laurie Moran is moving along the expressway along with her friend. The path is leading them to the South Shore resort where they could find someplace for rest and recreation to spend their weakened. Laurie generates the news-based reality TV series called Under Suspicion where they explore cold cases, and it’s here where she met Alex, a well-regarded defense lawyer and a federal judge who introduced three episodes of this program.
They strive to not fear, but Laurie remembers only too well when her husband, Greg, was shot in cold blood when Timmy was just three. The murderer threatened to kill Greg’s family, and it had been three decades back when he abducted Timmy and attempted to take Laurie but had been murdered by law enforcement. She wonders if somebody near Greg’s murderer took Johnny.
It is clear from the situation that Gunther has the capability to go through the profile of Leo quite easily. The profile shows the close connection between Leo and his grandson.
It was Leo’s belief that Gunther planned on with the child as leverage to induce Leo to acknowledge –to making the confession he landed Gunther in prison for life. As he had been adopted as a toddler, they attempt to discover if maybe Johnny’s biological mother is accountable, yet hoping to collect records in the closed adoption looks hopeless. Fortunately, they get this information simply to find.
It’s only natural she would believe Johnny’s abduction intended for Timmy because they’re so alike in look.
